Over the years, our company Calchèra San Giorgio has taken on increasingly greater importance to the point of being known at a national territorial level, for this very purpose we have been interviewed several times by Rai. During these interviews, which you can find on our website, we explained in detail what the three fundamental principles of our company are: the materials produced with the ancient recipes of Roman and Phoenician mortars; the production of natural, breathable, healing and long-lasting materials; finally the “circular economy” and respect for the environment.
Our business process starts from the research carried out in our laboratory up to the consultancy for the best materials to use depending on the purpose chosen by our customers.
The research laboratory
The research laboratory located in our company Calchèra San Giorgio studies and produces specific materials suitable for use in restoration processes, sustainable construction, structural consolidation of homes and rehabilitation of buildings of cultural interest.
All this happens with full respect for tradition. Furthermore, the raw materials we use are totally natural and are chosen from the materials used in ancient times whose compositions have been handed down from classical literature as well as from nineteenth-century manuals.
Our products
The materials researched and produced by Calchèra San Giorgio follow a specific production control plan. These are certified and CE marked products and therefore comply with community regulations both in terms of safety and compliance with technical requirements. They are produced depending on the customer’s ultimate goals which can fall into one of three main categories: building restoration, green building or artistic and archaeological restoration. The choice is very wide and varied and can change depending on various factors such as material, colour, quantity, etc.
