ECOLOGICAL AND CO2 FREE BUILDING IN SOUTH TYROL
The inauguration of the exhibition will be held on Monday 21 March 2022 at the Provincial Palace II in Piazza Silvius Magnago 10 in Bolzano at the inauguration of the exhibition “Ecological and CO2 free building in Alto Adige”
The aim of the exhibition and the monographic publication is to build ecological CO2-free, best practices that can be an example for the whole community as well as for professionals. “Ecological building and living” is placed at the center of the discussion, understood both as the effect of a new culture of life and as a challenge capable of combining environmental protection with new opportunities for valorising the territory. The results of a “field research” referring to buildings and experiences that may represent best practices for the area are reported. One of the objectives is to give visibility to professionals, technicians of public institutions and entrepreneurial entities who work towards solutions capable of valorising local materials and techniques as well as disseminating initiatives attributable to circular economy practices. Among the sustainable materials already present in Alto Adige, we can mention for example the use of solid wood, stone, cane, hemp or raw earth. The analysis of ideas, creations and instances in reference to ecological construction are the premise for the choice of some examples which are told through drawings, images, interviews with the authors and protagonists. Bioarchitecture® works to connect different disciplinary fields, disseminate examples and innovative design solutions, raise awareness among institutions and public opinion by offering suggestions and reflections on how to live and inhabit in the time of the ecological transition.
