How to get an excellent effect

Creating a marmorino effect wall means going back to the past to a material with ancient origins. Venetian marmorino is a very ancient decoration that is definitely coming back into fashion in recent years. With this stucco you can create many light/dark effects and smooth, marble-effect walls, which give elegance and refinement to the walls.

In ancient times this wall decoration was only for wealthy families, but today it is within everyone’s reach.

How is marmorino made?

Creating a marmorino effect wall is possible but not exactly simple. It is important to have particular manual skills or rely on specialists in the sector as it would be a shame to waste material and waste excessive time in fixing the errors made.

First of all you need to prepare the wall with primer. When this first layer has come out, proceed with the first coat of marmorino to smooth the wall. Once this layer is also dry, proceed with a second coat and wait for it to dry again.

Finally we proceed with the last step, the most complex, in which manual skills are essential.

Small portions of the product are applied with a spatula and must be spread with great precision and patience.

Finally, we proceed to create a layer of Marseille soap wax which must be spread with a woolen cloth.

The colored marmorino

This plaster is recognized as it has a very smooth surface, from which its name derives, smooth like marble. For a marmorino effect wall with modern tones it is possible to make it colored. It was once used in natural colors: white, beige or at most sand-colored based on the lime that was mixed in the mixture or on the natural pigments that were placed inside the color. With different pigments many different color combinations can be created.
