The characteristics of the natural marmorino material

For each type of application there are different usable products around the world. There are some materials that have an undeniable aesthetic value, but which perhaps have some disadvantages in terms of cost. Sometimes similar and equivalent substances are used, as happens in the case of natural marmorino.
As can be understood from the name, natural marmorino is a material that replaces marble, which enjoys an illustrious fame, just think of the majestic statues, the magnificent floors of palaces, the imposing temples of antiquity… which were actually made with this substance.

Marble is however a material accessible to the wallets of the average population even if it still has a high value, furthermore, being also permeable, it requires continuous care for its maintenance.

What are the characteristics of Marmorino?

This material can be used in various environments and structures, but is particularly suitable for interventions where a natural, very breathable product is needed. It is also compatible with materials from the past, so it is highly functional for renovations.

This last characteristic of natural marmorino is really important for us because in our work and in our choices we take a lot from the elements used for ancient buildings since these often have many important components and guaranteed durability, which is why some ancient buildings remain intact even for several centuries.

The composition and fields of application

The fields of application and use of natural marmorino are wide and different from each other. It can be used for internal and external applications, and is also suitable for giving surfaces a marble, satin finish, silky to the touch, with natural shading. It can be combined with other products, such as Grassello a Rasare-Calchéra San Giorgio.
It is created on a base of seasoned lime putty which reacts with the carbon dioxide naturally present in the air to trigger a process, thanks to which it manages to bind to the plaster. Another notable feature of this material is the decorative, eco-sustainable and bio-compatible finish.
