Pearl of the Val d'Orcia

The chapel, probably of late Renaissance origin, is mentioned for the first time in a document from 1590. The building, damaged by an earthquake, was subsequently redesigned both externally and internally by the architect Giuseppe Partini  in 1884, taking inspiration from sixteenth-century models.

The chapel is currently placed under UNESCO protection.
