The Cathedral of Sorrento has been located in the historic center of the coastal city since the 10th-12th century. AD, when, from the place that now houses the Sorrento Cemetery, it was moved inside of the urban belt. After the terrible invasion of the Turks in 1558, it was entirely rebuilt, to be definitively transformed in 1700 into the Baroque style, as it is currently admired.
