Colourless strengthening substance based on esters of silicon acid
Consolidante SDE – Calchèra San Giorgio is a substance based on ethyl silicate in an inert solvent solution.
These special solvents enhance favourable absorption of the active ingredient through the stone material’s capillary, reaching the healthy core of the stone where, upon reacting with ambient moisture, it turns into silicon dioxide which binds the detaching material without producing saline by-products.
