Finishing mortar of pure lime, natural pozzolana and cocciopesto

Pre-packaged finishing plaster in powder, mineral, breathable, eco-sustainable and bio-compatible, composed of pure aerial lime, micronized natural pozzolana and cocciopesto, obtained by crushing low temperature fired bricks, and selected calcareous-siliceous aggregates in continuous particle size curve.

Absolutely free of salts and any form of clinker.

The binder contained in this mortar is an hydraulic lime obtained by cold mixing of aerial top-quality slaked lime, obtained from calcination, at low temperature (about 850-900°C) of pure limestone and micronized natural pozzolana of different specific surface and energy. The particular binder, called Calce Pozzolanica Pantheon – Calchèra San Giorgio, gives the dough excellent adhesion to the support, considerable elasticity (low elastic modulus), very high breathability, high resistance to alkaline aggressions, mould and bacteria formation. Free from substances harmful to health and environment. Recyclable as an inert material at the end of its life.

Fields of application

Finishing plaster with a “washed” effect, particularly suited to operations in which the natural colour of the material is desired on the surfaces, simulating the characteristic rustic appearance of the Medieval plasters; where the use of a natural, hygroscopic material that is very breathable and resistant to chemical aggression is required. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. This product is specifically designed for conservative and monumental restoration in total compatibility with the original materials employed in the past, thanks to its formulation with historical raw materials. Particularly suitable in environmentally-friendly buildings to ensure hygroscopicity and health to the environments.
