Consolidating based on lithium silicate in aqueous solution.
Silicato di Litio – Calchèra San Giorgio is a substance based on specific lithium silicates in aqueous solution.
As a result of a reaction between the atmospheric humidity and the components of the support, the active ingredient is transformed into silica gel which then acts as a binder for the detached material.
The product has a good degree of penetration, allowing to consolidate the material in depth. It does not modify the breathability of the support, thus not decreasing the permeability to water vapour. The product does not change the chromatic aspect of the treated materials and has a high resistance to UV rays. Furthermore, the reaction of its active ingredient does not cause expanding phenomena inside the treated support
